Meet ISPA's 2017 Australia Fellowship Program participant Charlie Cush!
General Manager, Circa Contemporary Circus
Charlie is currently the General Manger of Circa. Circa exists to create the future of circus Circa walks the tight-wire between great art and great business. To do this they combine the raw thrill of circus with the depth of contemporary arts practice.
Charlie previously held the position of Senior Advisor, Arts and Culture within the Local Government Association of Queensland. Before that he managed the Arts and Culture portfolio for the City of Brisbane for 5 years, where he worked to develop Brisbane as a vibrant and creative city for its residents and visitors.
He has a background in education, performance and arts management and recently completed a Master of Arts in Cultural Leadership through Griffith University, his final thesis focused on the role of Arts and Culture in City Making. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama, a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Local Government (Statutory Planning).
