Meet ISPA's 2017 Denmark Fellowship Program participant Jakob Jørgensen!

Artistic Director and CEO, Teater Nordkraft

Jakob Højgård Jørgensen (Aalborg, Denmark) came in 2010 from Teatret Møllen to become Artistic Director and CEO of Teater Nordkraft. Teater Nordkraft is an intimate theatre, which produces and presents shows within a broad range of genres and for all ages. The theatre also tours nationally and has just started touring internationally as well. Jakob holds a master in philosophy and Nordic languages and literature, and before he engaged in theatre, he tought two years at the university in Bonn, Germany. In theatre he works as a playwright, director, dramaturge and translator. Apart from developing the theatre and the arts, Jakob is very interested in cultural leadership and politics, and in addition to his position at Teater Nordkraft, he is vicepresident of The Danish Theatre Association and a member of several boards of theatres and festivals.
