Meet ISPA's 2017 Scotland Fellowship Program participant Jennifer Phillips!
Jennifer Phillips is a dance producer and project manager, working with Company Chordelia, Jack Webb, Dudendance and Rob Heaslip and is co-founder and director of MiniFest, a festival of work for young audiences, which brings high quality performance, workshops and creative activities to venues across North East Scotland. She is also a director of Castlegate Arts in Aberdeen.
Jennifer is currently General Manager (maternity cover) at Starcatchers a pioneering arts and Early Years organisation based in Scotland specialising in performances and creativity for babies, toddlers and young children aged 0-5 and the adults who care for them.
Previously Jennifer was Artistic Producer at Woodend Barn, as part of Creative Scotland’s Producers’ Project initiative, developing capacity across dance and theatre. She was Director of the DanceLive Festival and Artistic Director/General Manager of Citymoves Dance Agency, where she led the strategic direction of the organisation and implemented a range of programmes encompassing performance, participation and artist development. Previous to this, she worked with Aberdeen International Youth Festival, Abderite Theatre, Warwick Arts Centre and Chichester Festival Theatre.
Jennifer is passionate about increasing access to, and participation in, arts experiences, and helping artists to create and show new work.
