Ana Cecilia Restrepo, hails from Medellín, Colombia. She holds a B.A. "Cum Laude" in Dance from the University of Maryland, USA, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cultural Management and Policy from the University of Barcelona, Spain. She has danced professionally and taught dance in the US, France, Cuba, Spain and Colombia. Since 2011 she has worked for the city of Medellín´s Secretariat of Culture, first as Dance Consultant, in 2013 as Coordinator of the Artistic and Cultural Grants and Scholarships Program, and recently as the Director of one of the city´s most important public programs, the Medellín Music Schools Network, a system made up of 27 wind and string instrument schools benefiting 5600 children and youth and their families. .
