Aisha Sultan is a nationally syndicated features columnist with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Her work has appeared in more than a hundred print and online publications, including The Atlantic, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post. The Society of Features Journalism has repeatedly recognized her commentary as among the best in the country. The Asian American Journalists Association honored her coverage of the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., with an Excellence in Print national writing award. She was a Knight Wallace Fellow at the University of Michigan, where she studied privacy and technology. She is a regular television and radio commentator and hosts a weekly podcast. She speaks on issues related to education, parenting and political engagement. She has recently written and produced a short film, "Other People," about how assumptions about 'the other' are revealed in casual interactions. She lives in St. Louis with her husband and two children.
