The Forum for Cultural Engagement and The Home Tour

Executive Director

Mary McBride is a singer-songwriter, and the Executive Director of the Forum for Cultural Engagement, which has developed cultural programs in coordination with the U.S. Dept. of State, and more than 30 U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world. Mary is also the Founder of The Home Tour, which uses live music to inspire and connect people, and engage the global community. In partnership with more than 100 social service organizations worldwide, The Home Tour brings live concerts to long term health care centers, veterans facilities, homeless shelters, supported-housing, mental health facilities, and prisons. Mary also conducts a music and and leadership program, in coordination with the CT Mental Health Center, Yale School of Psychiatry and the CT Department of Mental Health Services, with young people recovering from trauma and mental illness. As a Cultural Envoy for the U.S. Department of State, Mary has performed thousands of live shows in more than 25 countries. Mary received significant acclaim for her performance in "Brokeback Mountain," and will be releasing her fifth album in 2016. In 2015, she represented the U.S. at the International Women's Conference in Islamabad, Pakistan. Her work as a musician and humanitarian has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, and in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post
