Invitation Distinguished ISPA Members, Dear Colleagues, It is not long ago that we had our gorgeous conference in New York, which has given us some thoughts to ponder for weeks at least. After that great meeting our first hand (indeed very practical) experience – reinforced by other guests – of underrepresented non-American attendance could be simply explainable with lack of time; the beginning of the year takes up a lot of energy in our own job and profession. This is how we, in Europe see it, and, considering the possibility of further involvement of our prestigious membership, we are thinking about the following project: With the professional and technical help of the Palace of Arts in Budapest, we kindly invite you to take part in our regional conference in September to think over together the cultural streams, trends, expectations, and dislikes Europe has to face since the union. We count on your presence to meet top-notch lecturers, artists and leading cultural experts, and to have a closer look and gain necessary information about the third largest European arts center, located on the banks of the Danube in the Hungarian capital. Our keynote speakers will analyze the following two main subjects besides other sub-topics:
We can also assist you and make your stay in Budapest more colorful with discount price accommodation in our contractual hotels, full meal service during the meetings, guided sightseeing, a boat-tour on the Danube, and, of course, an evening concert at the venue of the conference. Though the building is quite new (opened in March, 2005), it can boast of
an outstanding history of world famous performers speaking out in admiration
about the marvelous acoustics of the National Concert Hall (engineered by ARTEC),
and the splendid Festival Theatre. Visitors are impressed by the 21th century
Ludwig Museum for modern and contemporary arts as well. Please note that the organizers should know about your intention of coming as soon as possible. Please respond to the International Affairs Department
in the Palace of Arts. Sincerely Yours, Géza Kovács Imre Kiss |
