As we stand on the brink of the 21st Century we find ourselves in a unique position, that almost demands we examine our existence as artists and as part of the international arts community.

Taking this opportunity, Beyond Borders conferred with experts both inside and outside our world to consider where the arts are today and where they are heading not only in a futurological sense, but rather as asking: what is left for the artist to do in such a world?

This XV ISPA International Congress provided a forum for the delegates to create their own visions of how this international arts community can move beyond geographic, cultural and intellectual borders that divide it.
