San Francisco's Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra has been dedicated to historically informed performance of Baroque, Classical, and early Romantic music on original instruments since 1981. The Executive Director is responsible for managing the human and financial resources of this $3.2M organization in order to achieve the orchestra's mission. The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior executive with a track record of success in management, fundraising, artistic administration, and audience development. S/he will have a strong working knowledge of music, artists, and repertoire and a passion for the work of this period-instrument chamber orchestra. S/he will be an enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals for contributed income. S/he will be adept at creating performance opportunities for PBO both nationally and internationally, and heightening visibility and public awareness both here and abroad.
