The Tucson Symphony Orchestra seeks qualified candidates for the newly created position of General Manager to join a dynamic team of talented and dedicated orchestra professionals whose work creates and makes possible performances, education programs and community services of the highest quality by the oldest professional symphony orchestra in the Southwest.
The TSO General Manager's areas of responsibility will encompass artistic administration, labor management, fundraising, budgeting and some staff supervision. A major intent of this new position is to relieve the Executive Director of day-to-day issues thus enabling her to give strong focus and attention to the Orchestra's current Endowment Fund Campaign.
This position has unusual importance since the Executive Director has indicated her intention to retire within the next 18 to 24 months, thus creating an executive position opening for which the General Manager will be given preferred consideration.
