Vice President, RCM Performing Arts

The Vice President, RCM Performing Arts (VP, RCM PA) is responsible for providing sound leadership, entrepreneurial vision and successful management to the TELUS Centre and the Performing Arts business of the RCM. The opportunity will leverage your programming creativity and costumer-service skills while providing a working environment that matches your passion for the performing arts. You will successfully generate revenue through overseeing four key areas: Venue rentals and ticket/product sales, international concert presentation services, venue management for the three performance spaces and food services.

With your entrepreneurial outlook and revenue-driving vision, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the “start-up” of the RCM Performing Arts business and its integration with the resident RCM supporting divisions including: artistic programming; annual fundraising; marketing; financial planning and budgeting; overseeing Performing Arts operations within the Telus Centre; and the identification and hiring of professional staff. The VP, RCM PA must not only display the imagination required to conceive of new approaches to administrative/operational issues, but must also back that vision with the practical resourcefulness needed for successful follow-through.

As the new VP, you will be involved in critical strategic planning and decision-making and will interface frequently with the resident divisions. You will be a key representative of the organization and an active advocate with other arts organizations and stakeholders and will also act as the public face of the RCM Performing Arts business, representing RCM’s Performing Arts at meetings, press conferences, public presentations and events.
