The International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is an international network of over 400 performing arts professionals from 50 countries who come together with the shared goal of strengthening the arts internationally by building leadership ability, recognizing and discussing field-wide trends, and deepening global exchange through the arts.  We achieve this through international congresses, fellowship programs, professional development workshops, resource sharing, and online exchange.

How You Can Help

More than 80% of ISPA’s budget is directed toward program services.  ISPA’s non-profit programs and services are then underwritten through three key sources – congress income (40%), membership dues (35%) and contributed income (25%). With respect to contributed income, there are primarily three sources of support.

ISPA is is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and therefore has been given tax-exempt status making your contributions tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by U.S. law.

The Challenge is just that – a challenge to you as a leader in your organization and community to support ISPA’s Global Initiatives.  Since 2005, hundreds of individuals have supported ISPA with annual donations ranging from 50 to 1,500 USD or more – these individual donations form a real core of support without which we could not undertake our programs.  View a list of the 2011 Challenge Program Donors.

Patron Program

Sustaining 5,000 USD Gift

Patron support will be dedicated to building ISPA's capacity to include artists and arts leaders from (primarily) developing countries in our semi-annual Congresses, and to developing ISPA's ability to offer fellowships to cover expenses for Congress attendees.  Patrons will support ISPA's mission and the Global Engagement Program with annual support of 5,000 USD.  In order to ensure an effective growth experience for the beneficiaries of the Global Engagement Program, the minimum period of Patron support is three years.  View a list of the 2011 Patrons.

Sponsorship

This form of support is key to increasing an organization’s or individual’s visibility among our membership.  ISPA has a range of sponsorship opportunities available ranging from 500 to 25,000 USD. Sponsors are typically linked to ISPA’s Congresses, but other opportunities are also available.

Acknowledgement

All support of the International Society for the Performing Arts is acknowledged.  The extent of the acknowledgement depends on the level of support.  For example, a donor of 50 USD is recognized in our Congress Program Book.  A 10,000 USD Congress Sponsor receives, among other things, a full-page ad in our Program Book, on-site signage and verbal recognition, and an opportunity to address the delegates.
