The Hare's Lip is a play about forgiveness. A man is sentenced to exile (the greatest punishment in the country where the play takes part) for atrocities committed in the past against thousands of families. The man must change his comfortable life in a tropical country for house arrest, living a simple life, with no luxuries in a cold, distant, snowy country. When he is serving his sentence, he begins to be visited by strangers, peasants from the hot lands. There is no logic between the winter weather and the tropical attitude of the visitors. Gradually he discovers that the visitors are members of the same family to whom he murdered. None of them come to seek revenge, only answers, recognition, explanations. They come to accompany him and live with him. This "coexistence" may expose reasons on one side and the other, it will see if forgiveness is possible.
