Three celebrations. The first one, The Holy Innocent (2010), is celebrated on the streets of a small town in the Pacific coast of Colombia, where masked men dressed as women, whip those who dare to come out. The second one, Discourse of a decent man (2012), takes place in the garden of a house somewhere amidst the Colombian tropics, perhaps even in the middle of the jungle itself, where the ghost of the most infamous of drug dealers, accompanied by his diva, listens deliriously to the music interpreted by the man who in real life led one of his favorite bands. The third one, The unaccounted (2014) in the privacy of a family´s living room, a group of children and a magician gather around the radio. It is the promise of a party that never took place. Set as a triptych, in three different frames, this succession of celebrations constitute an allegory of the dispositifs used by three of the perpetrators of the violence in Colombia since the second half of the twentieth century. Both an installation and a poetic montage of audiovisual archives, written testimonies, real and fictitious documents, actors and witnesses, music and live electronics.
