NMC is a group of dance artists collectively redefining the boundaries of choreography and performance through ambitious, cross-disciplinary work. Responding to our rapidly changing modern world NMC has established a reputation for innovation, producing work that challenges theatrical orthodoxies and creatively responds to unconventional performance settings.
Their new work, inspired by Jared Diamond’s book about “how societies choose to fail or survive” explores life cycles, archeology and obsolescence of technology. This promenade performance is created in collaboration with data capture specialists ScanLAB Projects and composer and cellist Oliver Coates. Unfolding in a venue with panoramic views, the audience will explore choreography, music and life size sculptures created in a process called “slow life scanning”.
