Brooklyn Babylon is a multimedia big-band performance with music, animation, and live painting. In a teeming metropolis, longtime residents and fresh arrivals work together to preserve their vulnerable neighborhoods. Lev, a local master carpenter, finds himself torn between ambition and his community when he is commissioned to build a carousel that will crown a community-destroying skyscraper.

Equal parts rollicking concert, impressionist documentary, and lyric essay, Real Enemies combines original film and live big band jazz to investigate America’s fascination with conspiracy theories and their role as the modern folk tale.
