The winner of All-Union Composition Contest, the Delius International Composition Contest, a recipient of the Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, multiple awards and residencies. Two all-Borzova compact disks include orchestral music (“American Classics” Naxos 2012), recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; and chamber music “Pinsk & Blue” (Albany Records 2007), the latter features two theatrical compositions for tenor and ensemble: "Arabic" solo cantata Majnun Songs (with Arabic dancer) and "Jewish" song cycle Mother Said. The disk was recorded by Da Capo Chamber Players.
