WELCOME

Message from CEO: Johann Zietsman:
Our eighteenth International Congress in Mexico City in June 2004 is clearly a very significant moment in ISPA history. With a proud 56-year history, and equally proud of our American roots, ISPA now ventures into hitherto unexplored territory with bold confidence that our sharpened focus on Internationalism is not only appropriate, but urgent.

Our 56 Conference in London prepared the way for a deeper look at our diversifying world and industry. What better way to follow up on our discoveries, than to go to Mexico City - our first Congress in Latin America!

During the four days in vibrant Mexico we will broaden our understanding of Mexico and Latin American arts within the context of an increasingly globalized international community. Creative leaders will stimulate our debate and challenge our preconceptions. Experienced practitioners will grapple with exchange possibilities and challenges. Host Julio Solorzano-Foppa and his team are putting together a truly unique and challenging series of experiences.

Through a very constructive relationship with the organizers of ‘Mexico: Gateway to the Americas,’ we will present our Congress concurrently with this significant Latin American Arts Mart. Our delegates will have exclusive opportunities to benefit from their presentations, as will their delegates be able to benefit from our presence through careful collaborative scheduling.

Message from the host: Julio Soloranzo-Foppa:
We invite you to come to Mexico City for the first ever ISPA Congress in Latin America. All the institutions and individuals involved in the organization of this important event are committed to making this a very productive and enjoyable experience for everybody.

Or review an informational website on Mexico City.
