Community Building Program

New Full and Affiliate ISPA members who register for the New York 2017 ISPA Congress prior to November 25, 2016, are eligible to participate in the Community Building Program.

ISPA’s Community Building Program provides support to new members by easing their transition into the broader network at an ISPA Congress. New Members are paired with a Current Member who welcomes them to the Congress, and facilitates their participation in ISPA’s extensive network of arts professionals.

Through participation in ISPA’s Community Building Program, both new and current ISPA members increase their network connections.

"As a new member, participating in the Community Building Program provided me a new sense of personal confidence when approaching the unapproachable!"
- New ISPA Member 12'

How the Program Works

New Full and Affiliate ISPA Members are eligible to participate in ISPA’s Community Building Program. One month prior to the ISPA Congress, qualifying individuals will be emailed to request their interest in participating in the program. Interested participants will be introduced via email to their partners. Participants then have the opportunity to meet their partner in person at an invitation-only New Member’s Welcome Event at the ISPA Congress.

The New Members Welcome Event provides a relaxed setting for both new members and current member program participants to interact. Following the Congress, Community Building partners are encouraged to stay in touch and to continue to cultivate their new connections.
