Meet ISPA's 2016 Dutch Fellowship Program participant Tamar Brüggemann!
Managing Director, Holland Baroque / Wonderfeel
From 2001 to 2013 Tamar Br?ggemann (1981) worked in different departments for the Early Music Organization, famous for its Utrecht Early Music Festival. In 2013 she became the managing director of Holland Baroque, a young and creative international baroque orchestra based in the Netherlands. In her spare time, Tamar developed Wonderfeel, an outdoor festival for classical music built around the easy-going and audience-driven concept of pop festivals, which had its first edition in July 2015.
Inspired by the latest developments in the performing arts, rethinking live classical music has become Tamar’s raison d’être. Her goal is to realize performances dissolving the boundaries between performers and audiences, generating an experience with minimum thresholds and without making any concessions to quality or integrity.
Tamar holds a Master's degree in Language and Culture Studies from Utrecht University and has attended several Musicology courses at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 2014 she was one of the global fellows of ISPA and a participant at the EFA Atelier for Young Festival Managers in Edinburgh.
We asked Tamar to tell us a bit about herself and anything else that she would like to share with the ISPA family. Check-out what she had to say:
ISPA would like to thank Dutch Performing Arts / Performing Arts Fund NL for their support of this important regional initiative.
