Meet ISPA's 2016 English Fellowship Program participant Rebecca Dawson!
Executive Director, Candoco Dance Company
Rebecca Dawson is Executive Director of Candoco Dance Company responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the company. Candoco is internationally recognised as the flagship professional company employing disabled and non-disabled dancers delivering its vision through excellent live work and learning programmes and advocating for a more accessible and diverse cultural sector. Prior to joining Candoco, Rebecca was at Arts Council England firstly as Relationship Manager in the Dance Team and secondly as Senior Project Manager for their London 2012 Cultural Programme, focusing on the development of a series of 12 large-scale multi art-form commissions across the UK. Rebecca has worked in a freelance capacity for a range of arts organisations including Flowers East Gallery, ICA (Boston, USA), London International Festival of Theatre, and bga arts consultancy. She has a degree in History of Art from University of Cambridge and an MA in Arts Management from City University.
