Meet ISPA's 2016 Global Fellowship Program participant Rocca Gutteridge!

Rocca Gutteridge

Rocca Gutteridge is a PhD candidate in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. From 2011 - 2015 she co-founded and directed 32° East | Ugandan Arts Trust, a centre for contemporary art in Kampala, Uganda. During this time, Gutteridge was Project Director of KLA ART 014, a biennial art project that showcases new Ugandan art direct to a Kampala public.

Gutteridge completed a BA in Fine Art and a Masters in Contemporary Art Theory at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland. She has delivered curatorial projects for Edinburgh International Art Festival, Glasgow International and the Mela Festival: a festival of world music and dance. Gutteridge has undertaken project based and curatorial residencies at Deveron Arts (Scotland), Terre Sans Frontier (Morocco) and the Edinburgh and Scottish Sculpture Workshops.

Gutteridge has produced commissions for, and given and taken part in presentations at: Dakar, Senegal (Raw Material Company), Manilla, Philippines (Green Papaya), Jakarta Indonesia (Ruangrupa) and Arizona, USA (Arizona State University). Currently, she is Head of Arts, Kenya & East Africa, at British Council Kenya.
