Meet ISPA's 2016 Canadian Fellowship Program participant Marcus Youssef!
Artistic Director, Neworld Theatre
Marcus' dozen or so plays – many of which investigate questions of difference or “otherness” – have been produced at theatres and festivals across North America, Australia and Europe, and are the recipient numerous national and international awards. Sectorally, Marcus is Artistic Director of Vancouver, Canada's Neworld Theatre and a member of the city's Arts and Culture Policy Council. In 2009, he co-founded PL1422, a 6000 s.f. East Vancouver production studio and administrative hub. From 2011-2013, Marcus was Artistic Associate of Canada’s national theatre festival, Magnetic North. He currently sits on the advisory board of Canadian Theatre Review.
