US China Cultural Institute
Chair of the US China Cultural Institute, the Committee of 100’s Cultural
Associate, Shirley Young has worked as a cultural bridge between artists and
major cultural organizations in the US and China. She has particularly focused
on inspiring youth through arts education and exchange and mentoring young
artists from China for international careers. She is a current board member of the
National Dance Institute, The Nature Conservancy Asia Pacific Council and governor
and founding member of the Committee of 100.
Shirley Young is senior advisor to General
Motors Asia, and as Vice President for General Motors, she co-lead General
Motor entry into China and its billion dollars automotive joint venture. Prior board service includes Salesforce.com
and Teletech Holding Inc, Bank of America, Verizon and as trustee of Wellesley
College, Phillips Academy and Interlochen Center for the Arts. She currently resides in New York and
