Description
EarFilms is a unique company that produces films purely using audio, creating cutting-edge cinematic experiences that allow the listener’s imagination to play an equal part in the journey. The EarFilms Cinema is the live manifestation of this and combines storytelling, music and 3D sound design. Audience members are lead into a twilight setting with a dimly lit stage, they take their seats, and are blindfolded to deny them of their sight and unlock their imagination through sound. The show utilizes advanced 3D Ambisonic sound to create a hyper-realistic audio space. This is combined with live narration from storytellers and musical performance to create a truly intimate and intense experience. Having received funding from Arts Council England to pilot the concept, we are now looking to develop a fully-fledged touring production and digital content store through immersive mobile apps. We are also developing EarFilms to provide cinematic experiences tailored for blind and partially sighted audiences.
