The International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is committed to engaging and advancing leadership in the performing arts.  ISPA has created several leadership development programs and opportunities to find and foster those leaders around the world, in both young and seasoned professionals.

Fellowship Program

ISPA Fellows

ISPA’s Fellowship Program provides emerging leaders from the performing arts field access to ISPA’s extensive international network of arts professionals.  Fellows have the opportunity to engage in the development and exchange of ideas with leaders from some of the world's most significant presenting organizations, performing arts organizations, artist management agencies, cultural policy groups, foundations, consultants, and related professionals.  ISPA Fellows also gain industry knowledge and expand their portfolio of resources through educational opportunities.

The Academy

Durban Academy

ISPA members are the most accomplished and innovative leaders in the performing arts.  The Academy provides an ideal place for many of those leaders to share their insights with emerging leaders.  The Academy takes place at each June Congress in the days before or following the main event.

Community Building Program

ISPA’s Community Building Program is an opportunity to match New Members with Current Members for the purpose of welcoming them into the broader ISPA Network during an ISPA Congress.  Both participants increase their network connections and expand their knowledge base through participation in the program.  Through the Community Building Program, ISPA strives to create a cohesive culture of diverse individuals, where everyone contributes their varied experiences and backgrounds to the task of envisioning and creating the future of the performing arts.
