Fellowship Program Print E-mail

ISPA FellowsView the 2010 Fellowship Recipients.

ISPA’s Fellowship Program provides emerging leaders from developing regions the opportunity to immerse themselves within ISPA’s prestigious international network of performing arts professionals.  Participants accelerate their engagement in the exchange and development of ideas, enhance their portfolio of resources, and build strong relationships all while developing an invaluable global perspective.

Each year a select group of emerging leaders participate in ISPA’s Fellowship Program.  Selected applicants receive a complimentary one year ISPA Membership (including access to all membership benefits and participation in the Mentorship Program), a complimentary full registration to ISPA’s Annual Congress (including access to all social events, New Works Now, and ProEx), and a partial to full subsidization of travel and accommodation expenses for attending the Annual Congress.

Alumni of ISPA’s Fellowship Program may be found working all across the globe within diverse sectors of the performing arts.  Fellowship Program participants often continue to stay engaged and active with the ISPA network well after their participation in the program.

ISPA would like to thank their Patrons for making the Fellowship Program possible.

Who should apply?

Those who are deeply committed and dedicated to advancing the field of the performing arts and pursing a lifelong career in the performing arts.  Prospective Fellows should have an eagerness to learn and actively participate.  Those who take initiative in their professional development and enjoy engaging with a diverse group of individuals will prove to be most successful in the program.  Particular attention will be paid to applicants from developing economies; though applications from all regions will be considered.  Prospective Fellows should meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently employed/working in the arts (preferably performing arts);
  • Have a minimum of 3 years professional experience in the arts;
  • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance;
  • Have received no more than one ISPA Fellowship in the past;
  • Ability to attend and fully participate in ISPA’s 63rd Annual Congress in New York City in January 2011 (dates TBA).

ISPA welcomes all eligible applications.  Unfortunately, the demand for the Fellowship Program far exceeds ISPA’s resources and the program may not be able to accommodate all qualified applicants.
