Climate

The climate in Croatia varies throughout the year and based on the region you are in.  ISPA’s 2010 Zagreb Congress will be held in Zagreb, Croatia on June 3-5, 2010 during Zagreb’s summer season.  Summers are dry and hot with temperatures from 22° C to 30° C (71° F to 86° F).

Did you know? Zagreb has the oldest University (1669) and the first Academy of Arts and Sciences in this part of Europe!

Currency

The Currency used in Croatia is the Kuna (HRK).  It is subdivided into 100 Lipa (1 Kuna = 100 Lipa).  Foreign currency can be exchanged in banks, exchange offices, post offices, travel agencies, and hotels.  To check current currency exchange rates, you may use this online currency calculator.

Arriving in Zagreb

From the Zagreb International Airport, you may easily take a taxi to the city center for 150 HRK (30 USD, 20 EUR) or a bus to the main Zagreb Bus Station for 30 HRK (6 USD, 4 EUR).
