Meet ISPA's 2018 Global Fellowship Program participant Iman Hammouri!

Director, Popular Art Centre

Iman Hammouri, General Director of the Popular Art Centre (PAC), a leading cultural center in Palestine which offers a wide variety of cultural and art programs, holds a Masters degree in Social Policy and Planning for Developing Countries from the London School of Economics (LSE). She is responsible for managerial and supervision duties including managing the biggest international festival in Palestine . Her work focuses on marginalized populations and disadvantaged groups. Iman also volunteers her time for other Non Profit endeavors: she is the Chairwoman of the Palestinian Performing Arts Network (PPAN), which is an initiative of 11 Palestinian performing arts institutions working on advocacy for the art sector, and also a board member of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations’ Network (PNGO) (a coordination body for the NGO sector in Palestine with the purpose of strengthening the Palestinian civil society). Iman has performed for over a decade with the Palestinian Dance Troupe El-Funoun, and is an active promoter of the Palestinian art movement, and of Palestinian heritage preservation. She has represented PAC, PPAN, and PNGO at various local and international forums.
