Jenny Jamison

General Manager, Scottish Ensemble

Jenny is General Manager at Scottish Ensemble, the UK’s leading professional string orchestra.

Co-leading on strategy, programming and development, Jenny has seen the company through some of its most ambitious projects to date. She oversees all tours and creative learning activity, and takes on producing roles in the company’s acclaimed cross-artform collaborations, including Goldberg Variations – ternary patterns for insomnia, which will tour to three continents in 2017-18.

Managing the company’s trust strategy, she recently secured the company’s largest ever annual trust grant, and has enabled annual trust income to grow by 60% over five years.

Jenny is also Chair of New Opera in Scotland Events (NOISE), a young opera company which commissions new accessible operas inspired by Scottish people and stories. She has previous experience with the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland, Scottish Ballet, and Amicus.

In 2017, Jenny will begin consultancy work with leading classical soloists.
