Pitch New Works Spottings in Edinburgh

Thursday, August 9, 2018   (0 Comments)

As the Edinburgh Festival Fringe commences, we have our eyes on some past Pitch New Works presenters! Why Edinburgh? Why Invest? The Stage (UK) asked the tough questions to Familie Floz’ manager Gianni Bettucci.

Is Edinburgh worth the investment?
Only if you take a long view and consider it a way to be seen. If you break even, consider yourself very lucky. We’ve had some excellent reviews – although a few more would not go amiss – but the focus is really to consolidate our local audience and to establish new international contacts.

Gianni pitched Toten Tanz Boden to delegates at the Malmo/Copenhagen 2015 ISPA Congress. He’s back in Edinburgh with Familie Floz to present Infinita at Pleasance Courtyard from August 2 to 27.

Other Pitch New Works spottings include Volcano Theatre’s Century Song at Zoo Southside from August 3 to 18 and ERRATICA’s Toujours et Près de Moi at the Assembly Roxy August 2 – 27. Wishing everyone a fantastic Fringe!
