Announcing New York 2015 ISPA Congress Pitch Projects

New York 2015 ISPA Congress Pitch ProjectISPA is thrilled to announce the ten selected projects that will be presented at this year’s New York 2015 ISPA Congress Pitch Session!

Projects were selected from a competitive pool of global applications by ISPA’s Pitch New Works Committee (Chaired by Piotr Turkiewicz, National Forum of Music; Alison Friedman, Ping Pong Productions; Igor Lozada, UDG Cultura; and Hanako Yamaguchi, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts). Be sure to catch these amazing new works on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015 at 10:30 am the Times Center.

Airport | A theatrical work which takes place in an airport created by and created by Kristján Ingimarsson and produced by Neander (Denmark) and Reykjavik City Theater (Iceland) in co-production with REPUBLIQUE (Denmark)

As Sudden Shuts | A multi-media/sensory project exploring the imagination of Emily Dickenson, created by Anna Clyne, Quay Brothers, and Steve Weiner and produced by Boosey & Hawkes (USA)

Candoco New Repertoire | Three new dance works produced by Candoco Dance Company, the world’s leading company of disabled and non-disabled dancers (United Kingdom)

Dreamscapes | An immersive multimedia performance, created for the 30th anniversary of the company Lemieux Pilon 4D Art by artists by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon. (Canada)

Huang Yi & KUKA | A dance work featuring humans and a robot, created and produced by Huang Yi (Taiwan)

Il Ritorno | A new work combining the thrill of opera and circus by Yaron Lifschitz and the Circa Ensemble (Australia)

Life is a Dream | An avant-garde theater work created by Claudio Valdés Kuri, and produced by Teatro de Ciertos Habitantes (Mexico)

Mementos Mori | A multi-media work featuring puppetry produced by the Chicago-based group Manual Cinema (USA)

Skin | A site-specific theatrical event and that will help raise awareness on human trafficking produced by TerryandTheCuz (Malaysia & Australia)

The Lazarus Man | A documentary/theatre/musical drama about South Africa’s most beloved Maskandi musicians, produced by Think Theatre (South Africa)
