Petrobras | 2013 Angel Award Recipient

PetrobasPetrobras is one of the largest energy companies in the world. With over a million shareholders, the Brazilian company is present in almost 30 countries and operates in an integrated, specialized manner in the oil, gas and energy industry. Petrobras is the largest deepwater operator in the world and has proven reserves of approximately 16 billion barrels of oil. Its recent discoveries in the pre-salt layer will enable the company to increase its reserves and to double its production of oil and gas in a few years.  

Petrobras is driven by the challenge of supplying the energy that propels development and ensures the future of society, with competency, ethics and respect for diversity. Its commitment to culture is based on this foundation and focuses on ensuring people’s access to cultural goods and on the assertion of Brazilian identity. The company is an important partner of film festivals, theater, dance, circus and other artistic expressions. The Petrobras Cultural Program is the biggest sponsorship program in the country. Annually, it issues notices of the public selection of cultural projects on a national level. Since it was created, in 2003, 3,000 projects have been benefited, with a total investment of over US$ 700 million.  

Petrobras also supports projects known worldwide, such as the Grupo Corpo – which has received the International Society for the Performing Arts award in 2009 – and the Companhia de Dança Deborah Colker (dance company), which has presented in several countries in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

Polish Radio Channel 2 | 2013 Angel Award Recipient

Polish Radio Channel 2 received the 2013 Angel Award at the Wrocław 2013 Congress, The Next Chapter.  View other ISPA Award winners.

Polish Radio Channel 2 cooperates with national and international cultural institutions.  It broadcasts concerts of the most important music festivals, including Warsaw Autumn, Songs of Our Roots, Wratislavia Cantans, Sacrum Profanum, Misteria Paschalia, Chopin and His Europe, the Ludwig can Beethoven Easter Festival and the F. Chopin Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj.  It presents and discusses the most important music competitions.  On Polish Radio Channel 2 afternoons and evenings are filled with unqiue recordings and broadcasts from the world-renowned concert halls and opera houses, among them Covent Garden, Royal Albert Hall, Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Weiner Staatsoper, and Wiener Musikverein.  Polish Radio Channel 2 reports on and reviews the music life of, among others, Paris, Berlin and Prague.

KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. | 2013 Angel Award Recipient

Fundacja Polska Miedź S.A. is a leader on the market of the largest global producers of copper (its basic products are copper and silver). The capital group of KGHM consists of around 50 companies involved in the main technological process.  KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. is also a share-holder in other businesses including medical services, tourism and energetic products.  With other external partners, it is also active in the search for natural gas in Poland.  KGHM Fundacja Polska Miedź S.A. has been a partner of the National Forum of Music since 2012 when the partnership agreement was signed with the intention of being prolonged.
