Fulgor Argentino Catalinas Sur

Adhemar Bianchi is a Uruguayan actor and director. He settled in Argentina in 1973 and created the Catalinas Sur Group, a Community Theatre group, in 1983. He is also one of the founders of the Latin America Community Theater Network and the Living Community Culture Network. Bianchi studied in his native country at the E. N. B. A. (National Fine Arts School), the Margarita Xirgu Municipal School of Dramatic Art and at the Teatro Circular de Montevideo. Some of the already legendary musical collective creation by Catalinas Sur Group includes “La Catalina del Riachuelo” and the historical trilogy consisting of “Venimos de Lejos”, “El Fulgor Argentino” and “Carpa Quemada”. He currently travels around several countries in Latin America and Europe participating at seminars, offering workshops, monitoring and helping create community theater groups, in addition to co-creating works alongside several groups in Colombia and the U. S.
