Teatro La Candelaria

Cesar Badillo Perez graduated from the National School of Drama and has participated in Teatro La Candelaria for 33 years. He is also an actor at Teatro Petra and Espacio Artistico ORG led by José Alejandro Restrepo. Cesar Badillo Pérez has created forty characters in works such as El Quijote, El paso and Mosca. He has directed five plays, Si el Río Hablara is one of his most outstanding productions, a collective creation of Teatro La Candelaria, nominated for Best Play of the year in 2013 by VIVE.IN magazine, and has also co-authored eleven plays of collective creation. He has been a visiting professor at ASAB, Universidad del Valle and Universidad Pablo Olavide of Seville, Spain. Badillo has also been an actor in ten short films and ten feature films, including La Sombra del Caminante and Locos. He has written four books, one of his experiences - El Actor y sus Otros - and three for theater: La Aclaración, Amarillo and Cómo Regresa el Humo al Tabaco, a trilogy coauthored by Felipe Vergara.
