 Flame of the Forest & shazzaFlame of the Forest & shazza Yan: Original Composition by Flame of the Forest Known for its bold and festive character, the suona reveals a new voice here — one of delicacy and nuance alongside its power. Featuring Jacky Ng on suona, the piece is inspired by Chinese melodic phrasing and structure, woven with modern cinematic textures. Wau Bulan: Arranged by Flame of the Forest A reimagining of the beloved Malay folk song rooted in the dikir barat tradition. Led by vocalist Aliff Azman, the piece unfolds through call-and-response exchanges between soloist and ensemble, building from a meditative opening through shifting grooves of joget and inang into an exhilarating singalong finale. Medieval: Originally by shazza | Arranged by Flame of the Forest shazza’s anthem of feminine defiance and reclamation, transformed by FOTF into an ethnic rock piece, fusing South Indian thennmangu folk drumming with rock. Featuring Niranjan Pandian on bansuri and Govin Tan on tabla.
