Henrik Lillsjö

Project manager
Noo Jazz
Sweden

Based in Stockholm, I´m currently working as production manager for Vara Concert Hall, where I´ve been for seven years. As the production manager I´m in charge of all programming, residencies and touring productions, that all together add up to 250-300 events per year.

In addition to that, I´m consulting for other venues such as Stora Teatern in Gothenburg as music programming producer and project manager.

I´m also running an artist management company where my role is to build international platforms for our artists, help them to develop creatively and artistically and strengthen their commercial and career opportunities. WIth artists from Egypt, Sweden, France, and Canada, our work is truly international.

I´m also serving as an advisory specialist for the Swedish Arts Council. Prior to my current projects, I have worked as a creative producer and project manager for a range of concert halls, theatres and other institutions as well as for national NGO:s in the music industry.

Over the last years I´ve worked intensively with projects and artists around the issue of artistic freedom of expression which I´m very passionate about. Working with artists that despite persecution and censorship keep spreading positive and progressive messages, even when facing severe consequences, is deeply inspiring, humbling and meaningful. I´ve studied arts management and production at Stockholm University of the Arts, transformational leadership at IHM Busines School and media and arts at Södertörn University.
