The Yoko Foundation

Yoko currently runs her own “The Yoko Foundation” which is focusing on the personal skill-up of the producers and managers in the performing arts industry in the transnational perspective. Prior to it, Yoko served as a producer for the international production by Japanese Playwright Oriza Hirata and his company for 10 years and experienced projects in 22 countries. Also in her 3 years in the Japan Foundation, she managed the mobility grant program which inspired her to fertilize supporting field with her own resource and for those who in more critical situation.

She is a recipient of Mobility First, a mobility grant program which is organized by Asia- Europe Foundation in 2018 for her participation to the Arts Right Justice Academy for its 2nd edition held in Hildesheim, Germany. She was also selected as a participant in the Global Cultural Leadership Programme through the EU Cultural Diplomacy Platform in 2016.
