Clown and Cultural Producer
Ana Oliveira is a clown and cultural producer in Manaus, AM – Brazil. She graduated in BA Theatre Studies at the University of the State of Amazonas and has a Post-grad degree in Cultural Producing and Management. In 2012/2013 she studied Theatre Studies at the University of Kent, UK, as part of the Federal Science Without Borders Program. She has worked in a variety of roles within the theatre and events, producing dance and theatre festivals, clowning teaching programs and touring around Brazil. Since 2008, she has been focusing her research in clowning through courses and workshops with several national masters such as Lis Nobre, Selma Bustamante and Adelvane Néia, and internationals such as Mick Barnfather, John Davidson and Peta Lily. Alongside two other partners, she runs the Fitacrepe Film and Performing Arts Production Company. Their goal is to develop and promote the arts from the north of Brazil.
