Meet ISPA's 2015 Regional (Colombia) Fellowship Program participant Inti Viana!

Inti Viana (Bogotá, Colombia) completed her piano studies at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Her love of learning lead her to obtain her Master of Arts in Music Theory from The Aaron Copland School of Music (2003) where she was awarded the LeFrak Scholarship (2001) and the Novack Theory Scholarship (2002). Through her professional career, she has taught at several universities in Bogotá, including Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Universidad El Bosque, where she served as chief of music department. Currently she works at Banco de la República’s Music Section in Bogotá, helping in the development of a music season consisting of about 80 concerts. As concert coordinator, she provides administrative support in order to promote Luis Ángel Arango’s Concert Hall activities in an efficient way. Her interests lie in the fields of economics, education, cultural management and the role served by culture in planning for sustainable development..
