The feeling of going, Skånes Dansteater

The feeling of going takes you on a journey to a universe where anything is possible. The performance space is the forest, where man and spirit beings lock in combat and bring each other life. Dream and reality merge; time and space trade places; the landscape transforms right before our eyes, through our experience of it.

We are the space in between, teeming with life: dancers and songs evoking memories, hopes and shadows. This is a nowhere land, a threshold. You cross with the feeling of having left something behind, a feeling of moving backwards, forwards, anywhere, in any direction. You have a feeling of coming back around.

The feeling of going is a visionary work by British choreographer, Ben Wright, built around the album GO by Jónsi (Sigur Rós). The songs, performed in their entirety, by the choir and soloists from The Malmö Opera. The music is performed in an arrangement specifically written for the Malmö Opera’s Orchestra.
