Swedish Biennial for Performing Arts

Swedish Biennial for Performing Arts

The Swedish Biennial for Performing Arts takes place on May 26-31 2015 in Malmö. The Biennial includes Swedish productions from all over the country, international performances, workshops, seminars and meetings. The Biennial is organised by Teaterunionen – Swedish ITI in cooperation with the hosts for 2015 Malmö Opera, Malmö City Theatre and Skånes Dansteater.

The Swedish Biennial for Performing Arts offers the ISPA delegates a special rate (200Kr/20 USD) on selected performances and attendance to the seminar program.

How to get discounted tickets

Click here to reserve discounted tickets. You will receive a booking confirmation within 2 business days. You can collect and pay for your tickets (credit card only, no cash) at the box office of Malmö Live.

If you wish to pay cash, please visit the box office of Malmö City Theatre or Malmö Opera. Book by May 17th if you want guaranteed discounted tickets.

Option 1

An evening of contemporary performing arts from Denmark at Dansehallerne, 7:30 pm

At this event, curated exclusively for the ISPA delegates, selected Danish dance companies, theater groups, festivals and artists will present their work at Dansehallerne, a venue for contemporary dance and former Carlsberg brewery site. The showcase will be followed by a networking reception.

* Bus transportation to the venue and back to Malmö will be available.

How to get tickets

Tickets are free – but RSVP required due to limited seating available. If you have not already RSVP'd, please sign up at the registration desk by noon, Friday, May 29th.

Option 2

Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 3 at Danish Radio Concert Hall, 7:30 pm

A 25-minute pre-concert talk available an hour before the concert.

How to get tickets

To receive a 10% discount on tickets, visit the DR Concert Hall site and click "Buy Tickets". You will see the ticket type reads "Gruppe min. 25 pers.".  Select the number of tickets you require. Under "price zone" this offer is only available for options C, D, and E. Select your section and click "Find Tickets".

Option 3

‘Paquita’ at the Opera House of the Royal Danish Theatre, 8:00 pm

One of the world’s oldest and most prestigious ballet companies, the Paris Opera Ballet has been invited to dance at the Opera House of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen for a three day run.

Option 4

Cabaret at the Old Stage of the Royal Danish Theatre, 7:30 pm

Since its Broadway premiere in 1966, the musical ‘Cabaret’ has become a modern classic in a league of its own. Get ready for a dark but highly entertaining story of impossible love in an impossible time – filled with music and song (in Danish).

*Delegates should take a water taxi to the venue.
