What does the future of performing arts look like?
What can it be?
What do we want it to be?

In the cultures of its indigenous people, Australia is home to the longest continuous performing arts traditions in the world. In our globalized world, First Nations from many countries are united in their shared experiences of colonization. We invite you to reimagine the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives and stories.

More than 400 delegates from 30 countries joined us in Melbourne for a series of provocations through performance and keynotes that invited rigorous interrogation of contemporary performance culture. It was great to witness a strong presence by regional delegates from the Asia Pacific and Oceania regions who made up of over 80% of the delegates!
