Fort Worth Opera
Development Associate

Thomas Rhodes joins the ISPA congress this year as one of the first 10,000 beta testers for Google Glass, a wearable augmented reality computing device.  When he isn’t hard at work raising money as a development associate for Fort Worth Opera, he spends his spare hours exploring ways to use augmented reality devices in the performing arts. As a graduate of both Carnegie Mellon University’s Master of Arts Management program and the University of Bologna’s Graduate Degree in Innovation and Organization of Culture and the Arts program, this industrious young man has already had a good deal of international and national experience working as Artistic Coordinator for Heifetz International Music Institute, Assistant Festival Manager at Opera Mauritius, and has held work studies or internships with Santa Fe Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, and the Wiener Staatsoper. He also founded and edits The Opera Industrial, a web-based feed aggregator for international opera news.
