ISPA Out on the Town is back for a second year! 

We’ve rounded up a few exciting options for ISPA Congress delegates to enjoy the evening of Wednesday, January 13th. Grab a new contact or old ISPA friend, and enjoy an evening on the town. We’ve partnered with PROTOTYPE and globalFEST to offer you three stand-out shows and one free after party. There’s something for everyone – explore the links below for additional details. 1. Angel's Bone presented by PROTOTYPE

World Premiere

Angel's Bone follows the plight of two angels whose nostalgia for earthly delights has, mysteriously, brought them back to our world. This world premiere work of opera-theatre explores the dark effects and motivations behind modern-day slavery and the trafficking industry.

2. The Good Swimmer

Constructed primarily of found text, The Good Swimmer is a new music-theatre piece---part requiem, part lifesaving drill. Set entirely on a surf beach, the piece updates the kinship relationships of Antigone to a family of lifeguards during the early days of the Vietnam War.

3. The Villalobos Brothers presented by globalFEST

globalFEST is thrilled to invite ISPA delegates to a night with The Villalobos Brothers! Masterfully blending elements of jazz, rock, classical and the folk music of their native Veracruz, the Ernesto, Alberto, and Luis Villalobos redefine contemporary Mexican music with their high-energy compositions, powerful lyrics and intoxicating violin virtuosity.  

Following the Concert, ISPA Congress delegates are invited to join a free after-party with a DJ at Joe’s Pub at The Public beginning at 11 pm!

End your evening on the town with a free after-party for ISPA Congress delegates. Join us at Joe’s Pub at The Public beginning at 11pm where a night cap and DJ await. Open to all ISPA Congress delegates. ​Must have a Congress badge for entry.

5. The Joyce Theater's first American Dance Platform

Registered ISPA delegates receive 50% off ticket to The Joyce Theater’s first American Dance Platform, showcasing some of the most captivating American companies performing today. This year’s festival features companies representing different regions throughout America and pairs emerging companies with those that are more established. 

Wednesday’s performance features Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (N.N.N.N. by William Forsythe) and TU Dance (Hikari by Uri Sands).  The discount code is good for all American Dance Platform performances learn more here.
