Pitch New Works

Developed from a program which originated at the Banff Film and Television Festival in Canada, ISPA's Pitch New Works Program is a forum for creators and arts professionals to share and discover new performing arts projects. Twice a year, ten submissions are selected to be "pitched” to more than 400 performing arts professionals from over 50 countries at ISPA's annual congresses.

The Pitch New Works Program consists of three components:

1. Pitch New Works Session

Participants are allotted 7 minutes to present their new work at the Pitch New Works session, followed by a 3 minute Q&A.

2. ProEx (Professional Exchange)

Participants interact with congress delegates during ProEx, ISPA's informal networking session and marketplace, immediately following the Pitch New Works session.

3. Ongoing Project Visibility

a) Pitch Project Directory

Project information and video are hosted on ISPA's Pitch Project Directory following the congress.

b) Pitch New Works in Action

Project updates and success stories are spotlighted monthly in the Pitch New Works In Action feature in ISPA's members-only newsletter, social media platforms, and website.
