Director/Producer

After reading English at Cambridge, Suba trained on the prestigious Arts Council/ Birkbeck MFA in Theatre Directing. His ground-breaking, site-specific production of his own translation of Medea (choreography by Kenrick Sandy of the Olivier Award-winning Boy Blue Entertainment) at Theatre Royal Stratford East led to his role as the youngest ever director-in-residence at the National Theatre Studio. Suba co-founded the theatre and training company Custom/Practice, which seeks to connect diverse practitioners with the best classical practice. Suba has created award-winning work for The Young Vic and Tamasha Theatre Company, and a trilogy of highly acclaimed site-specific classical productions across London: Othello, The Winter's Tale and The Revenger's Tragedy. Suba is currently Associate Director at CURVE, Leicester - the largest producing theatre in the East Midlands and situated in one of the UK's most diverse communities.
