What is the ISPA Fellowship?
ISPA's Fellowship Program was created to provide emerging and mid-career performing arts professionals with the opportunity to expand their international networks through membership and attendance at an ISPA Congress. The Fellows represent all disciplines, genres, and types of arts organizations.
Reinvesting in Global Fellowship Alumni
ISPA's Fellowship Program was created to provide emerging and mid-career performing arts professionals with the opportunity to expand their international networks through membership, attendance at an ISPA Congress, and participation in our online and regional initiatives.
Since the program’s inception in 2007, we have held an annual open call for applications while also inviting past participants to apply for a repeat engagement.
We strive to balance two goals with the Global Fellowship application process:
(1) To fund the greatest number of eligible arts leaders from diverse backgrounds and regions;
(2) To offer extended participation of up to three years in the program.
For 2021, we are revisiting our approach to the application process. As a result of the global pandemic, and ISPA’s decision to host the 2021 congress virtually, we have given deep consideration of how best we can support mid-career arts leaders from around the globe. As such, this coming year’s Global Fellowship will be made available to program alumni only in lieu of our annual open call for applications. We anticipate launching the call for applications in August.
We look forward to coming back in 2022 with our fully realized Global Fellowship and application process as before. If you are an interested applicant, please stay in touch and check-back next year. We expect our application period for the 2022 Global Fellowship to launch in June 2021.
