What is the ISPA Fellowship?

ISPA's Fellowship Program was created to provide emerging and mid-career performing arts professionals with the opportunity to expand their international networks through membership and attendance at an ISPA Congress. The Fellows represent all disciplines, genres, and types of arts organizations.

Who Should Apply?

Individuals working in the management of the performing arts who are deeply committed to increasing the global connectivity of the industry, and those who take initiative in their own professional development. Those who enjoy engaging with a diverse group of people will be the most successful in the program.


Why Participate?

Fellows have the opportunity to engage in the development and exchange of ideas with leaders from some of the world's most significant arts organizations, increase their industry knowledge and resources through educational opportunities, and share their experience with their communities.
Participants grow their international networks, find new collaborative partners and mentors, and discover renewed inspiration for their careers in the performing arts.


Applying is free! There is no fee to submit a fellowship application.

PROGRAM DATES
2021: January 11 - 15 (Virtual) & June 9 - 11, 2020 (Reykjavik)
2022: January 11 - 13, 2022 (New York)
2023: January 10 - 12, 2023 (New York)

BENEFITS

In 2021, Fellows receive:

  • One-year ISPA membership with access to all member benefits, including registration to the Virtual Edition: 2021 ISPA Congress (January 11 – 15, 2021) and online Fellows-only seminar;
  • Full Pass registration to the Reykjavik 2021 ISPA Congress; and
  • Travel subsidy of up to $2,575 to support attendance at the Reykjavik 2021 ISPA Congress.

Pending a successful annual review, Fellows are eligible to participate for up to two additional years and receive membership, New York Congress registration, and up to $2,575 travel subsidy.

ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:

  • Be permanent residents or citizens of Singapore
  • Be currently employed/ working in the performing arts
  • Have a minimum of five years professional experience in the performing arts
  • Have not received an ISPA Fellowship in the past
  • Have the ability to attend and fully participate in ISPA for the next three years
  • Demonstrate commitment to increasing international connectivity of Singapore’s performing arts sector
