Overview

The International Society for the Performing Arts (“ISPA”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We appreciate that you do not want the personal information you provide to us distributed indiscriminately. We do not rent or resell your personal information to third parties for any purpose. The information we collect is used to provide services to our customers and this statement of privacy explains data collection and use in those situations.

Scope 

This privacy notice applies to all ISPA account holders and anyone who signs up to receive any newsletter or communication. This includes, but is not limited to ISPA members, non-member account holders, congress delegates, mobile app users, and newsletter subscribers.

We may amend this privacy notice at any time by posting the amended version on this site including the effective date of the amended version. We will announce any material changes to this privacy notice by posting a notice on the website and/or through email.

Data Collection 

Personal Information

ISPA collects personal information such as name, location, gender, employer, and contact information when a user fills out an account application or subscription to a newsletter. This information may also be collected when filling out other forms on the ISPA website such as Pitch New Works applications, nominations or surveys. By providing the required information, you give permission to use this data to provide related services under these terms.

All information collected is the property of ISPA and may not be used for any purposes other than those directed by ISPA. We do not automatically capture or store personal information relating to visitors to the site, other than the IP address. 

Financial Information

Any information collected for payment processing is not stored in our system beyond the single transaction. Specifically, credit card information is not stored for future use; only the last four numbers of the credit card are visible to administrators. 

ISPA is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites to which this website may link. You should review any additional privacy policy and terms of use agreements before using any website.

Use of Information

Personal and anonymous user information is used to generate aggregate statistics about our site visitors, improve the content of our web pages, to administer the website, and to provide services you have requested through the website. 

If at any time you do not wish to continue to receive such services, you may unsubscribe through the email system or contact us through the website.

Sharing Information

All ISPA account holders have the opportunity to manage their organization and individual profile to self-determine the level of public exposure of information through the Membership Directory. 

The default settings authorize ISPA to publically list information on your organization profile, including organization name, location, telephone number, and website address on the ISPA website. The information on the individual profiles is not publically visible, and only accessible to current members.

When registering for a congress, delegates authorize ISPA to share contact information and certain personal information such as name, location and employer with the rest of the congress delegation as part of the “delegate list”. 

NOTE: Congress delegates always have the option to opt out of sharing contact information as part of the registration process.

ISPA discourages mass and spam mailings to its members. Any misuse should be reported to ISPA.

ISPA may analyze and disclose aggregate statistics about our site visitors, customers, and sales in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes, at no time will this include personally identifying information. 

ISPA may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of ISPA, its employees, the site, or its visitors. 

Security

ISPA places a great importance on the security of all personally identifiable information associated with our members. We have implemented technology and policies to safeguard your privacy from unauthorized access and improper use and will continue to update these measures as technology becomes available. 

Use of Cookies

This site uses cookies to maintain a user's logged-in status, and as part of the Google Analytics procedure which tracks user activity. No cookies are used on this site to track or store personally identifiable information. To disable cookies please consult your internet browser’s help file. However please note that certain services on this site may not work correctly or at all if you set your browser not to accept cookies.

By becoming a member of ISPA, registering for a Congress or by using this site you consent to the collection and use of this information by ISPA and accept the terms of the ISPA privacy policy.
