Executive Director

Rebecca Dawson is Executive Director of Candoco Dance Company. Candoco is internationally recognised as the flagship professional company employing disabled and non-disabled dancers delivering its vision through excellent live work, learning programs and by advocating for a more accessible and diverse cultural sector. Prior to joining Candoco, Rebecca was at Arts Council England, firstly as Relationship Manager in the Dance Team and secondly as Senior Project Manager for their London 2012 Cultural Programme, focusing on the development of 12 large-scale multi art-form commissions across the UK. Rebecca is Chair of the Board of Daily Life Ltd, a creative organisation producing work that challenges the way people think about mental health, and a Board member of ISPA. She has a degree in History of Art from University of Cambridge, an MA in Arts Management from City University and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
